Wondering who this gathering is really for?
Start with the Need
Design the event to meet the needs of everyone involved.
This is how people feel CONNECTED.The method
We have spent years figuring out what actually makes gatherings work. Why some gatherings crack something open and others stay on the surface. How to craft a gathering that meets the deepest longings that we all hold inside.
It turns out there’s a form to it, and it’s simple enough that anyone can learn it.
We call it the gather& method.
New here? Start with why we gather.
Wondering who this gathering is really for?
Design the event to meet the needs of everyone involved.
This is how people feel CONNECTED.Wondering what to say?
The stories show each person that they matter.
This is how people feel SEEN.Wondering what you actually do at one?
The predictable nature of rituals makes it easier for everyone to feel comfortable.
This is how people feel HELD.Wondering how to make room for joy?
Plan for the Pause.
This is how people feel JOY and AWE.Wondering what happens after?
Turn the moment into something with lasting meaning: a keepsake, a commitment, a ritual passed to the next set of hands.
This is what inspires us into action. Carried far enough, it becomes a ripple with no end.
The first four fill us up. The last is where we turn outward and pass it on. That movement is everything. A moment that isn’t carried forward, no matter how beautiful, goes still. The gather& method
Three people at every gathering
Each needs to feel CONNECTED, SEEN, HELD, JOY and AWE, and to leave with something meaningful to carry forward. The honoree stays at the center. The guests and the host are never an afterthought.
The question underneath everything
gather& creates a space for the things that usually go unsaid. How we feel about each other. What we mean to each other. What we’re struggling with. That honesty is the precondition for real connection.
Two words we use
spark
The small daily act. The quick decision to move: say the words of gratitude, write the letter, give the gift, for the purpose of making someone feel seen, held, or to spark joy. It’s the smallest unit of the practice.
intentual
The mindset of building intentional rituals into everyday life instead of going through the motions. The more you practice it, the easier it gets, and the more of life fills with joy and inspiration.
You can make any moment into an intentual. Tell us what yours becomes.
